Background

It is only by the grace of God that any of us are saved. We had to hear the good news. As the Bible says in Romans 10:9, “If you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved” (NIV). Also Romans 10:17 says, “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ” (NIV). Since a person must believe (have faith) and this faith comes from hearing (and God uses His church), we hope that God will use Grace Presbyterian Church membership to spread His good news. Therefore, it is our desire to serve our Lord Jesus by evangelizing our community and world by telling others what He has done for us. We pray that the Lord Jesus will bless our efforts, give us wisdom, and begin searching and preparing the hearts of those that He will save for His glory and salvation of the lost.

Methods

God is sovereign and will bring those He calls. As fellow believers and lovers of our Lord Jesus, we can be used by God to reach the lost. Some ways to reach our community include daily contacts with friends and coworkers; visitation to newcomers, sick, and the elderly; travel to other locations; telephone calls; acts of service to those who are no longer able; gifts (e.g., flowers, food, tapes, books, or thank you cards for kindnesses shown). This is a simple guide for those who want to reach out in love to others. To God be the Glory, Great things He has done!
